Wildlife Photography Association of India has awarded Jayanta Dutta AIIPC, ASIIPC,IIPC Diamond with a Gold Medal in the SAM Circuit International Exhibitions 2012. Sam Circuit is approved by Photographic Society of America, Federation of Indian Photography and India International Photographic Council.The circuit has six judgings and six exhibitions in different cities of India. Photographers from Austria, Australia, Bangladesh, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech republic, France, Hongkong, Indonesia, Italy, Romania, Malayasia, Singapore, Sweden, Taiwan, Thailand, UK, USA, Vietnam and host country India participated in the SAM Circuit International Exhibitions with 2488 photographs.
Jayanta Dutta, a life member of Kaziranga Wildlife Society has been awarded the honour of ASIIPC, for his lifelong dedication and service for betterment of the art and science of photography, by India International Photographic Council at Triveni in New Delhi on 19th August 2012, on the occasion of World Photography day. He was presented with a certificate and shawl by the council. Internationally acclaimed wildlife film maker Mike Pandey was the chief guest of the function.
Jayanta Dutta is the first person from the north eastern region to receive this international honour. He was also the first photographer of the north east to be awarded the honour of AIIPC in nature photography by India International Photographic Council in the year 2000. He is a member of Photographic Society of America and life member of Photographic Society of India and India International Photographic Council. As a photographer he has travelled widely in Europe and visited the jungles of Kenya on a photo safari in 2006 along with his wife. He has more than one thousand acceptances and numerous awards and certificates in national and international photography salons.
